Our tutors

A small team, carefully chosen

Our team brings together school leadership at headteacher level and years of one-to-one tutoring. Every Cove tutor is an experienced teacher or tutor, holds an enhanced DBS certificate and follows the same safeguarding policy and teaching approach. Programmes are planned and quality assured by our lead tutor, and we match each pupil to the tutor best suited to them.

Founder and lead tutor

Naomi

BiologyChemistryPhysicsGeography

Naomi is a former headteacher, deputy headteacher and head of science. She has led schools and science departments, and has taught science and geography from Year 7 to A level.

Throughout her career she has made sure every child feels both challenged and valued: expected to aim high, and supported to get there. That is the heart of every Cove lesson.

She founded Cove Tutors to give pupils the focused, unhurried teaching that a full classroom rarely allows. Her lessons are calm, structured and built around retrieval practice and exam technique.

She tutors GCSE science (biology, chemistry, physics and combined science) and GCSE maths. She knows the specifications well, and remembers exactly what made the hard topics click when she sat them herself.

She is now a final-year medical student, which keeps her own study skills sharp and gives pupils a role model for where good science grades can lead.
