Trust and safeguarding

Schools, local authorities and parents trust us with children. This page sets out how we keep them safe and what evidence we can provide. Documents are reviewed every year and dated.

Safeguarding

Every tutor holds an enhanced DBS certificate with a barred list check, checked before their first lesson. Our policy follows the current edition of Keeping children safe in education, and we have a named designated safeguarding lead.

Online lessons

Lessons run on Google Meet through our business accounts, never personal accounts. Lessons are not recorded unless a parent asks in writing. Under-16s learn in a shared space at home with an adult nearby.

Our online classroom

Tutors use our business accounts only and never contact pupils through personal phones, email or social media.

Data protection

We are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office. We collect only what we need to teach well and keep it in UK and EU data centres.

Insurance

Public liability and professional indemnity cover for all our work, with evidence on request.

Professional standards

We follow the code of practice of The Tutors’ Association. We do not tutor pupils from schools where a tutor is employed.

Request the document pack

Schools and local authorities can request our document pack: DBS evidence, insurance certificates, policies and data processing terms. We send a secure link within one working day.
